Visitors Centre
The
Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre located near the village of
Donore, Co. Meath is the starting point for guided tours of Newgrange and
Knowth.
There are a limited number of guided tours each day, to ensure your place arrive
as close to the opening time as possible. As the day progresses, especially in
the summer the waiting times get longer and the tours may be completely booked
out by mid afternoon.
There is a replica of the Newgrange passage and chamber at the Visitors Centre
and an audio visual presentation,
so even if the tours to the actual site are booked out, it is well worth a visit
to the Centre.
